FreshBite – Online Food Ordering Website

Project Overview

FreshBite is a responsive online food ordering website developed as part of my Web Development Internship. The project provides users with an easy-to-use interface to browse food items, filter menu categories, add items to a cart, manage quantities and proceed through a simulated checkout process.

Technologies Used

The project was developed using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript. Local Storage was used for maintaining cart information in the browser. Responsive CSS techniques were implemented to support desktop and mobile devices.

Learning Outcomes

Through this project, I gained practical experience in frontend web development, responsive design, JavaScript, DOM manipulation, event handling and Local Storage. I also learned how to organize and present a complete web development project.

Challenges

The main challenges were implementing responsive layouts, menu filtering, cart management and ensuring that the different sections worked correctly together. Testing helped me identify and improve these issues.

Conclusion

The FreshBite project helped me improve my practical web development skills and understand how HTML, CSS and JavaScript can be combined to build an interactive and responsive website.
