Building an AI Internship Recommendation Engine Using Python

During my AI & Data Science Internship, I developed an AI Internship Recommendation Engine using Python. The purpose of this project was to help students discover internships that best match their skills, domain of interest, and experience level.

The main objective was to build a simple recommendation system that analyzes a student's profile and suggests the most suitable internship opportunities using machine learning techniques.

Challenges Faced

While working on this project, I learned how to preprocess data, compare student skills with internship requirements, and rank recommendations using cosine similarity. I also improved my project organization and GitHub documentation skills.

What I Learned

This project enhanced my understanding of recommendation systems, machine learning fundamentals, data processing with Pandas, and practical Python programming. I also gained experience in presenting and documenting software projects professionally.

Conclusion

Completing this project gave me practical experience in developing AI-based applications and strengthened my confidence in Python programming. I look forward to exploring more advanced topics such as Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning, and intelligent recommendation systems in future projects.
